Jerusalem: ""Denver apocalyptic sect eager to return to Israel." Three months after Israel deported members of a Denver apocalyptic sect, the cult is eager to return to Jerusalem, expecting to witness Jesus's return, says a source close to the affair.
In January, police arrested 14 members of the Concerned Christians, citing "evaluations" that they planned violence "to bring about the Second Coming." But the Israeli authorities did not reveal evidence to back up the "evaluations."
The 14 were deported to Denver, Colorado and later disappeared from a hotel there. All 80 sect members are apparently now in Greece or England awaiting a chance to return to Israel. Before the arrests, The Report was told, authorities intercepted a container shipped here (Jerusalem), with household goods for the entire cult - indicating that all 80 intended to come.
Meanwhile, the sole member of the cult to defect since the deportation has now gone back to it. John Bayles, one of the cultist evicted from Israel, returned several weeks ago to his New Jersey family, but recently left to rejoin the sect - another indication of leader Monte Kim Miller's power over his followers."
