CHURCH WITHOUT WALLS

(TBN 8.20.99) Pastor Randy White was interviewed and caught my attention. He stated that he comes from a line of 5 generations of preachers. He said he did not want a normal church. He claims he said to God "Give me revival or let me die." [Comment: cloned Rodney's line]. His book " WITHOUT WALLS God's Blueprint for 21st Century Church was to teach others how recruit and grow into mega church and receive government funding. Randy and his wife went into the streets of Tampa, Florida and recruited prostitutes, gangs and homeless to join his church to become ministers to others of their kind. He wrote on page 3: "The church can break down denominational walls, racial walls and cultural walls. It can be done." On page 35: "As I prayed, suddenly the glory of God fell upon me, AND I SIMPLY FLOATED IN HIS PRESENCE. I lost all sense of time, being saturated completely with His overwhelming reality."
Speaking of his wife he wrote: "As she stood there, she literally saw the Shekinah glory of the Lord like a cloud, and she smelled sweet incense of His presence." Page 40: Pastor Benny Hinn called us out and began to prophesy to us. He said, "God has called you to take the city of Tampa.. You are sitting on a keg of dynamite with a short fuse. It's about to explode." Shortly after Pastor Hinn sent a check for $2,500 for our ministry." Page 42: "Then she remembered a teaching by Gloria Copeland about prophesying the answer to your need. So she went into the kitchen and prophesied to the empty cabinets.. food is coming.. Two hours later there was a knock.. People carried boxes of food.. "
Page 43: "She put our two-hundred dollar windfall into the offering. The very next morning, a woman walked into our little makeshift office and threw an envelope on my desk. "Take it!" she said. "God spoke to me to give this to you." [Again this is Copeland's teachings] After she left, I ripped open the envelope and found a check for ten thousand dollars! God had come through." According to Randy White another check followed that same day and he claims seventy-five-fold return. [Comment: I must be in the wrong church, it doesn't work for me]
To make a long story short, the book tells stories about each leader of a ministry, how Randy found them and what he did with them and what they are accomplishing for him today. By 1994 Randy's church was considered to be the second fastest growing church in the nation. Page 144 "Our ministries offer no glamour or glitz - just long hours and dirt under your fingernails." Page 153: "We were able to set up a first-class medical facility as part of our not-for-profit" Community Development Corporation. A health maintenance organization that cares for Medicaid patients provided the funding to build the center on the first floor of our multipurpose office building. The staff a female Dr. Combs, a medical assistant, an administrative assistant, a receptionist-medical transcriptionist, and an energetic older lady who is both prayer warrior and the driver of the van what picks up patients from the inner city and brings them to the clinic."
Page 174 "How much do you need to get it - four hundred thousand dollars, five hundred thousand dollars?" I told her how much was needed .. and when. "All right, you've got it."" Page 177: "Let's use them to teach the men a trade.. We'll give them a "hand up" instead of a handout. Then they get jobs and earn a good living... Vinnie an ex drug Lord cocaine dealer abusing $2,000 worth of drugs himself a week?? .. set up a system of vocational-technical training for inner-city people in a variety of trades. He also wants to refurbish houses in doing that he can train homeless, unemployed people in all kinds of trades." Page 183: "Vision, Inc. was set up .. through a sizable grant from the Department of Labor and Employment Security." Dave, who runs Vision, Inc. is a former crack addict. The rapid growth of the church was attributed to setting up all these various ministries to the community.
Page 186, 187: After hours of spiritual communion, she [Paula, Randy's wife ] heard the voice of God saying, "Ask largely." .. The Holy Spirit moved inside of Paula like an explosion going off.. "Operation Stitches" a rolling sanctuary now in 35 cities.. short limbs grew out instantly.. cancers dried up.. Out of this was born another ministry for Without Walls the International Training Center." Page 195 "Imagine her surprise to discover that Without Walls offered a state-approved GED study program for people like her. " Page 200: "Now Shawn is a dedicated man of God. For years he had made appearances in schools, giving martial arts demonstrations and performing feats of strength... He.. ministers to youth as a member of Without Walls' outreach team, Conquering Force.. performing strongman feats like breaking chains, chopping bricks with their bare hands.. " Page 213: "The concert was a big success.. It was obvious that this kind of activity needed its own permanent space.. Club X teen club [rock concerts was born].
Page 217: Cindy's story was about drugging, drinking involvement in gay and bisexual activities (described in detail) "and getting way out of hand.. she slipped and fell and hit her head against the bathtub.. she managed to crawl .. wet, nacked.. and tried to pray.. don't let me die like this.. At that moment she became aware of a "presence" near her. It seemed so real.. she thought it must be Jesus. And she hear a voice saying, "I love you, baby." It was incredible.. repenting .. she passed out. Cindy woke up in the hospital. The nurse who took care of her was a member of Without Walls International Church. [She had to administer drugs again to calm Cindy down.]."
What is the message you ask? Here it is: page 224: "All you have to do is say, "This is what happened to me. When I was lost, He found me. When I was down, He lifted me up. And He'll do the same for you" That is all there is to it." [I'm still wondering who "He" is?] Page 234: "Pastor White, you don't know me. I don't attend your church.. Would you mind if I bless you with a thirty thousand dollars transmitter?" Page 239: "God had spoken to me to fly to Dallas and "sow" a gift of ten thousand dollars into Pastor T.D. Jakes' ministry.. A woman.. sent a check for the full down payment on the new property, along with a note that said, "We're going to make sure you get that building."
Here comes the reality of Pastor Randy White: page 243: "Thank God for the perfect American families with two parents and children and white picket fences. God bless them. But the church has to be the church to the other 93 percent who make up today's lost and dying generation.. SOMEHOW THE CHURCH HAS TO GET RID OF "STINKIN" RELIGIOUS THINKIN" and find a way to reach the soaring numbers of unmarried couples who live together for the sake of convenience. UNMARRIED PEOPLE LIVING TOGETHER ARE PART OF THE HARVEST TOO."
Page 248: "About the author: .. Randy's heartbeat is evangelism and restoration. He has served on the executive committee for the Tampa Crusade of Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, and he also established a not-for-profit Community Development Corporation (REACT). He creates and produces a daily television program.. how hosts 108 satellite churches and ministries, as well as 200 outreach and in-house ministries. (Page 249: His ministries: Adoption Support Group, AIDS Patient Outreach, Altar Counseling Ministry, Angels of Love (Hospice) Back-to-School Bash, Balloon Express Love Baskets for Kids, Benevolent Ministry, Brochure Creation and Production Minsitry, Bus Ministry for Adults and Children .. [I counted 133 ministries and he wrote this list is some of the ministries].
On TBN Randy said he deals with strippers, gangmembers, drug addicts and multimillionaires. It is vegetable soup. 4000 pastors are shaking their cities. "God spoke to me and said that nations will come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ... Tampa named a street after him "Without Walls" .. join hands with political leaders..
THE WEALTH OF THE WICKED IS ABOUT TO BE TRANSLATED TO THE CHURCH.. [Comment: what he is saying is that the taxpayers who provide these millions of dollars are the "wicked"?? when in fact they are the slaves to the whole world] Randy stated that the government pays them million of dollars and certifies their various schools and services. The state pays for everything.. " He said, "JESUS IS ALWAYS ATTRACTED TO THOSE WHO NEVER HAVE ENOUGH... The checks are coming in.. THE DEVIL HAS NO AUTHORITY seems to be prevalent."

We tried to get information about their financial status Guidestar. The church comes up alright but it states: "this organization is not required to file an annual return with the IRS because it is a church.
